I discovered on the web that you can use the command-line tool hdiutil to mount a dmg file. Would it be possible to use HFS+ in the dmg file? I suspect it has to do with the dmg containing an APFS file system instead of an HFS+ file system. I am able to open other dmg files (including UMS 7.0.1) on my Mac Pro, so there's something about the newer dmg files that aren't compatible. As a workaround, I've opened the dmg on the laptop and copied the application over my local network, but that's not really the best solution. Unfortunately, my Mac Pro is so old, that it can't be upgraded past El Capitan. I have a MacBook Air that runs MacOS 10.12.6 Sierra, and it was able to open and mount the dmg file. I am running on an old Mac Pro (2009) that uses OSX 10.11.6 El Capitan. I was only able to successfully mount the last one. I tried to install this release, but I got the "no mountable file system" error that other people have experienced on previous releases.
